Merry Christmas

Writing this a little late but Merry Christmas all!  It's been a zoo around here, hence the lateness.  With divorced parents does the number of Christmas' you celebrate have to double?  It our case, yes!  The kids have once again gotten more crap than they can use, and yes a lot of it is crap.  I was wondering why the kids didn't seem to be as excited as I use to be about Christmas.....then I remembered they're spoiled.  I don't mean a bratty, gimme, not doing what we're told kinda way.  I have really good, helpful (as much as she can be at 2yrs) children.  I mean more in the way of they already have EVERYTHING they could ever possibly need and most of the things they want.  My house is littered with objects that they use sporadically and now we have more.  I'm tempted to box up some of the junkier toys they got and take them straight to donation without passing go (opening them.  But somehow that seems wrong as they were gifts, from loving people, with good intentions.  I just don't know how much more crap around here I can take, I mean crap that isn't mine, because my crap it just fine where it's at....don't touch it or I'll break your arm!

Anyway......   Merry Christmas!!!!

Holden Edward

This is the book I made to remember but nephew, Holden Edward.  He would have been one this november and this has been a really tough time for my family.  I would wish that everyone would keep them in their prayers.  I tried to keep this book simple and elegent.  I was thinking of doing it all in black and white but like the reality of color.

Hair Bows

My newest obsession is HAIR BOWS!! I have been attempting to make them for my daughter, who's 2 years old. She's so darn cute and what's cuter than a cutie with a bow in her hair. After buying several off ebay and etsy I decide to try my hand at making some of the simpler types. I want to let anyone who's interesed know a great site to get tips hair hardware blogspot she gives the best instruction I've found so far. She also has a site where she sells the parts for making hair bows. I've become a follower, and suggest you do to if you're interested

Classic Black 5x7 folded card
Unique party invitations and greeting cards by Shutterfly.

A good way to use any card codes you have (if you are already done with your christmas cards) is to make thank you cards for a party you know you have coming up. I made these cards for my son's birthday party in advance, that way I was all set for sending them out after the party. And could you get a cuter thank you card!!!

xmas 2010

Elegant Stripe Christmas 5x7 folded card
Make a statement with Shutterfly Christmas photo cards.

Our christmas card for the year.  We actually had quite a few good pictures to choose from this year.  I prefer the simpler cards but I saw quite a few that I could have done also.  The red appealed to me mostly because of our outfits.  The shutterfly cards come on pretty heave stock and the envelopes are really pretty thick also.  I have ordered from shutterfly multiple times and have always been satisified.  Excellent customers service also!

Monster Truck Grave Digger Party

Image result for ride on hot wheels grave digger
We found Hot Wheels Grave Digger in the garbage that DH pulled out (in great condition!) that he managed to get running again and the obsession was off. So for his birthday party this year I went Grave Digger (said in a deep growl, you get the idea)

I really only did a cake for this party, as I sometimes have a life but I wanted share it because it was super easy and turned out really cute
He had two small Hot Wheel Grave Diggers that I was able to use around the outside

I got the topper off eBay and they added the pic of my son's head in the Grave Digger and sent it to me. All I had to do was place it on the cake

Crushed up Oreo's around the outside to simulate dirt and I was done

I can't figure out how to get the photos rotated ...so sorry

BzzAgent

Post number 2!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to talk about a WOM (Word of Mouth) agency I'm involved in.  I have been a member for of BzzAgent since my first campaign since July 5, 2005.  BzzAgent is described by the web site as:

BzzAgent creates a deep connection between consumers and brands to activate word of mouth across social and offline media. Through the engagement of our network of passionate, vocal and connected consumers, we provide companies the ability activate large-scale discussions, uncover hidden value, and drive measurable results. We believe in unpaid, unscripted ethical and authentic conversations (only!)

These are a few of the campaigns I've been involved in this year
  • Welch's Healthy Start
  • Black Box Wines
  • Elmer's Crafters'
  • L'Oreal(R) Paris Collagen Micro-Pulse
  • CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion
  • göt2b smooth operator
  • COVERGIRL & Olay Simply Ageless
  • COVERGIRL Blast
  • Children's Claritin 2010

The BzzAgents have a code of conduct  - a BzzAgent volunteer is:

Open — Always disclose your Agent status

Let people know that you're involved with BzzAgent, and that we've supplied you with the opportunity to experience the product or service.

A Natural Communicator — Be yourself and share your opinions

Stay natural and share your opinions in a respectful and unforced way.

Honest — Always tell the truth

Bzz only works because it's honest, so discuss the bad with the good. As we say, "all Bzz is good Bzz."

Mindful — Remember that everything you do sends a message

Keep in mind that the things you say and the products you use communicate something to the people around you.

Influential — Knowledge is power... and so is Bzz

Your opinion is influential, so respect that power by only sharing honest, informed word of mouth.

Not a Salesperson — Don't exaggerate or "sell"

There's no pressure, and there's no need to "close the sale" or dramatize what you're saying.

A Listener — Pay attention to how people are responding to the Bzz

Word of mouth is a two-way street. Listening will help you to become a better, more informed Agent.

In Touch — Stay in contact with the Central Hive

Stay alert for new campaigns, answer polls, submit reports and let us know about your

In it for Fun — Have a good time

Spread the Bzz in your own unique way — whenever you want and with whomever you want.

I am attempting to start a blog....right here ....right now....bear with me as I find my feet.  I have thought about starting a blog for awhile.  I feel like I can share some things I know.  One of the reasons I finally bit the bullet was the oppurtunity to talk about a recent party I had through MomSelect & MommyParties.  Schleich ( http://www.schleich-s.com/  )provided an array of figurines.  Schleich is a German producer of toy figurunes and accessories. Its figurines were first released in the 1950's.  In May 2007, the new Elfen line was introduced. It features Southern and Northern Elfen in a battle of light and dark.  In 2009 a story book about the elves was also published by Schleich.
As part of the party package we received several figures from this line.  We also received several animals for the Africa line.  During the party the kids were able to play with all the toys.  They sent enough figurines for kid to leave with one.  Schleich provided enough Pig keychains, booklets, coloring sheets and goodie bags for everyone.
